1. Aims

As East Gippsland's economic development gathers pace it must be matched by an increasing awareness on the part of employers and employees of Occupational Health and Safety Issues.

The East Gippsland Network aims to foster and promote high standards of OH&S and to provide networking opportunities involving shared information, resources and knowledge to enable compliance with relevant legislation.

3. Network Origins

The East Gippsland Occupational Health and Safety Network is based on the highly successful Gippsland Occupational Health and Safety Network, operating in Latrobe Valley since 1994.

The idea to create the East Gippsland Network developed from a meeting of like-minded people with the Steering Group formed during October 2000.

Formation of the East Gippsland Network (EGOHSNet) realises the vision of its founder members to fill a geographical gap that had previously existed east of Sale.

4. Your Input is sought

The Steering Committee welcomes input from members and would-be members.  The Steering Group needs you to tell it of your OH&S issues and concerns so that planning for future seminars and workshops will be relevant.

5. Become a Member

Membership is free and it's easy to join.  You can:

  • Simply attend an East Gippsland OH&S seminar and have your name added to the mailing list.  It couldn't be simpler than that; or
  • Write to, email or phone Tony Smith at East Gippsland Water; or
  • Join on-line.
